Last night was more than just a theater performance, it was a powerful moment of hope, resilience, and remembrance.
For the first time, a group of incredible kids stepped onto the stage and brought The Wizard of Oz to life in Kurdish. But these weren’t just any young performers. They are the children of fallen Peshmerga heroes, brave men who gave their lives in the fight against ISIS to protect our land and our future.
Through our partnership with BCF, this project was created to give these children a stage not just to act, but to express themselves, to heal, and to prove that their dreams matter. From the first day of rehearsals to the final breathtaking performance, their energy, dedication, and courage were inspiring.
Watching them step into the spotlight, perform in their own language, and own the stage was a moment none of us will forget. It wasn’t just about a play, it was about giving these kids a chance to shine, to be seen, and to know that their voices matter.
To the families of these young performers, to everyone who supported this journey, and to BCF for believing in this vision, thank you. This is just the beginning.
We promise to continue creating opportunities, nurturing talent, and making sure these kids have a future as bright as the stage lights that shined on them last night.
